Baglioni Resort Maldives: Italian Excellence in the Maldives

It is not the first article I write about seaside stays in the Maldives. This time I’d like  to dwell on the opening of a new resort, the Baglioni Resort Maldives, focusing mainly on one of the corporate values of this prestigious Italian luxury resort company that inspires me the most.

“We exude Italian excellence every day in everything we do. We give our guests a warm, sincere, hospitable welcome. We create a cosy family atmosphere”.

Staying on a small atoll, even if marvelous for the sea and the beach, do not you also agree that this kind of hospitality is centered?

But let's go back to the description of this new resort that will start operating from July 2019. It is located in the atoll of Dhaluu, exactly on the island of Maagau, in a typical Maldivian context: soft white sand like velvet, turquoise sea and tropical nature.

The 96 villas were built with the commitment to minimize the impact on the environment, both in the choice of materials and in the adoption of measures to maximize efficiency and sustainability.

I know people who do not like to stay on the water and prefer to stay on the beach, others who consider sleeping in a water villa, listening to the gurgling of the ocean,  an absolute must experience in the Maldives!

The cuisine is one of the strengths of the resort of course, a feather in the cap of Italianness in the world, and the pleasure of taste is combined with the different environments that host it: the more informal Taste Restaurant, open all day, and the two restaurants just for dinner, the Taste directly on the beach, and the romantic Umami over the water.

What to say…. just be there in the Maldives it would be enough to feel really good but for the more active people  there is no lack of water sports, from diving to kayaking, while wellness lovers will find a fabulous spa with also Ayurvedic treatments and of course the opportunity to re-experience the spirit with yoga.
