Hotel Roma Cavalieri, the legendary Waldorf Astoria brand in the Eternal City

A lush park with swimming pools, elegant rooms and magnificent suites overlooking the Eternal City, one of the best restaurants in the world, the largest collection of works of art housed in a hotel, all this and more is the visiting card of Roma Cavalieri, the first to open in Europe with the legendary Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts brand. At the top of Monte Mario, from which you can enjoy the expanse of Roman roofs on which the Dome of San Pietro stands out, surrounded by a private park of six hectares with lush Mediterranean vegetation, it boasts an incomparable position just a few minutes from the center of Rome. Always attentive to environmental and sustainability issues, this prestigious hotel was among the first to obtain international certifications which attested to its commitment to energy efficiency, optimal waste management, monitoring and reduction of CO2 emissions, with local associations to help the most disadvantaged communities.

The 370 rooms include the sumptuous 25 suites with private terraces from which to admire breathtaking views, rooms for exclusive dinners, Jacuzzi and solarium. The flagship is the Penthouse Suite, with furnishings by Karl Lagerfeld and the series of four Dollar Signs, by the king of pop art Andy Warhol. For antiques enthusiasts I like to mention the Napoleon Suite instead. Inside there is an important 18th century desk that belonged to Napoleon III, period furniture, a collection of rare prints dedicated to the most famous campaigns and battles of Napoleon Bonaparte . Imperial suites and rooms also give access to the prestigious Imperial Club, where guests can enjoy a selection of beverages served with individually wrapped treats and small savory snacks, and to the Grand Spa Club, where special security protocols have been set up (currently only the wet area with saunas, jacuzzi and turkish bath is not available). Finally, all that remains is to dedicate a note to the La Pergola restaurant, with a unique view of the Eternal city that opens to the view of guests. Under the guidance of Heinz Beck it has become a temple of international gastronomy, the first and still today the only three Michelin star restaurant in the capital. Here the gourmet experience reaches truly high peaks!
