5 reasons to visit Vietnam, a multi-faceted country

Vietnam is truly a multi-faceted country. Its geography is diverse, with vast countryside and mountain ranges and the magnificent Halong Bay to the north, flat areas that include pristine beaches and UNESCO World Heritage sites, and the fascinating Mekong Delta to the south.

Here ARE 5 GOOD REASONS to visit Vietnam in 2022 which finally marks the return of international travel!

1) The north and its ethnic villages

This area is particularly popular for hiking due to its magnificent mountain ranges, variety of natural landscapes such as rich terraced rice fields, bamboo forests and beautiful lakes. New destinations are emerging such as Mai Chau, Pu Luong, Mu Cang Chai, Hoang Su Phi and Cao Bang (which has spectacular waterfalls), and all offer interesting itineraries with pleasant walks through peaceful villages that are home to different ethnic tribes.

2) The center of Vietnam

This is an incredible region, with mountains, caves, fascinating cities, coastlines and lagoons that become a perfect place for a cultural and active holiday in Vietnam. Perfect for exploring by bike or simply by walking and visiting some of the national parks and several Unesco World Heritage sites, such as Hoi An Ancient Town and My Son Shrine.

3) The unique atmosphere and biodiversity of the Mekong Delta region

This region is Vietnam's "food pantry", providing over a third of the country's annual food crop. It has incredible biodiversity and is home to millions of people, who work and live in this aquatic world, on markets and houseboats or on stilts, or along its banks.

It is a perfect region to explore by bicycle, cycling along flat roads beside the fascinating Mekong waterways, rice paddies and various fruit and vegetable plantations picked by locals and visiting some beautiful villages and historical sites with a mix of Vietnamese culture and Cambodian.

4) What about Vietnamese food!

An infinite variety of rich and different flavors, from north to south…. Vietnamese cuisine offers endless possibilities, from fine dining restaurants offering fusion creations, to homestays and locally owned restaurants to authentic street food experiences. Vietnam is truly a foodie's paradise!

5) The vibrant Hanoi, the capital od Vietnam

In Hanoi, you will witness urban life as you have never seen it before as you stroll through the alleys of the old town and discover ancient hidden temples. The best way to explore Hanoi is by walking and losing yourself in the narrow streets surrounded by a unique and traditional atmosphere and being able to interact with  locals passing by various shops, markets and restaurants trying some of the most delicious street food in the world such as Banh Mi, Bun Cha or the famous Pho noodle soup.
