Holiday on Lake Garda: charm and flavors, a perfect mix

Surrounded to the south by the morainic hills and to the north by the mountain ranges, Lake Garda is the largest of the Italian lakes. Due to the temperate climate, the rich vegetation and the characteristic fauna, Garda is considered by people to be a true earthly paradise. In this context so suited to holidays, moments of relaxation, excursions and naturalistic adventures, precisely in Desenzano just 200 meters from the castle, Antica Dimora is much more than a resort, it is an experience based on emotions that it manages to convey to the guest.

The characters behind the project that transformed the Cagliari family's home of origin, custodian of a unique collection of antique furnishings, works of art and precious objects, into a charming hotel, are Cristina Cagliari, an antique dealer and passionate artist, who gave new life to this home, and Annalisa Borella, Creative Pastry Chef, the one who offers every day breakfasts rich in fine local products, artisan delicacies and top-quality pastry preparations.

Each of the 5 Suites of Antica Dimora is inspired by an eighteenth-century character, whose original portrait is housed in the alcove: La Contessina, La Moretta, La Veneziana, Il Libertino and La Principessa. Cristina has been able to capture the soul of each character, revealing it through the scenographic setting, thus creating romantic and truly suggestive atmospheres. The Atelier is instead the meeting point of Antica Dimora, a real workshop of taste and creativity. A warm and enveloping fireplace in the refined room with an open kitchen, which can be reached by walking between velvet chairs and ancient stone faces. Every day the kitchen creates delicacies by alternating selected local products with refined international products, to make convivial moments unique. Among the interesting activities offered to guests you can opt for a cruise on the waters of Lake Garda, to discover the Garda towns, with meals packed in refined baskets, with an exciting finish, a magical sunset with an aperitif; for a food and wine excursion, dedicated to local products, with visits to wineries, oil mills, lemon houses and selected farms; for a cooking class on techniques and secrets of haute patisserie and modern cuisine which represents an opportunity above all to create and have fun, to taste a fine tea in combination with the preparation carried out.
