San Francisco e la Napa Valley in Harley Davidson

S. Francisco reveals itself as it seems: fascinating and full of opportunities. I already know the program that awaits me for this weekend in the American West Coast. The first meal is a “must”, an experience that must be done every time you set foot in the city: the Waterbar.

The restaurant enjoys an incredible location, throwing itself into the bay just steps from the spectacular Oakland Bay Bridge. The guys who run the restaurant are renowned for their dishes of oysters, in my case a selection of oysters coming from different United States coasts.

The goodness of the oysters is matched only by the beauty of the panorama that the restaurant offers, especially in the evening when the bridge comes to life thanks to a fantastic illumination.

The St. Regis near Union Square is definitely the best choice to stay in San Francisco. The hotel excels for services and  is in a perfect location for exploring the city.

On Saturday I accompany a friend to the trendiest barber in San Francisco. While I'm waiting, I enjoy the slightly retro atmosphere of this very popular place. Next step is the organic market at the Embarcadero, where I taste an amazing Dim Sum. Once the heart of the maritime trade, the Ferry Building has now become an irresistible place in downtown for food and shopping.

Of course it’s inevitable to take a trip to China Town (it is really a piece of the city's fundamental history!) And, after an evening cocktail at Castro, dinner by Frank Cinema, a truly unique place. While enjoying great food, there is a drag queen show that is literally crazy!

Sunday starts with a trip to Napa Valley and Sonoma in Harley Davidson. It is not the first time I visit this area but doing it on the back of a mythical bike makes everything extraordinarily new.

After many tastings of wines and countless photographs inspired by one of the world's most famous wine regions and the beautiful town of Sonoma, we return in the evening to San Francisco. There is no better neighborhood than The Mission, characterized by impressive and colorful murals, to enjoy delicious tapas in complete tranquility. If you then choose a historic venue like the Big Four Bar at the Hotel Scarlett Huntington, where to accompany them with special cocktails, the tapas seem even more exquisite.
